A breakdown of Fix’s terrain (Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Filters)

Hey everyone. I’ve been working a lot on the terrain rendering for Fix lately, and I think it’s looking pretty spiffy. Here’s a step-by-step rundown of how it gets from tile map to final image.

  5. It’s really interesting. With the drop shadow against a blue background (which makes it a rather abstract sort of sky), it gives me a feeling of a Game & Watch.
